Your work stays yours.
PhotoStudio 2.0 edits and stores your projects on your device. This policy explains what miniLabs Inc. and its service providers process when you use the app and this website.
In short
No account is needed. Your photos and projects are not uploaded to a server we operate. PhotoStudio includes Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics; each stays off until you allow its separate usage analytics or crash reports choice. Google AdMob runs only when you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad. Subscriptions are handled by Apple.
Photos and projects
You choose photos through Apple’s system photo picker, which gives PhotoStudio only the photos you select, not your library. You can also import files you pick from Files. Selected media and project files are stored in the app’s private container on your device. When you save a design, PhotoStudio asks only for permission to add items to Photos.
On-device photo analysis
Subject detection, framing suggestions and photo adjustments use Apple’s Vision framework and a Core ML model bundled with the app, running on your device. Face rectangles may help suggest a crop. The app does not identify people, upload face data or keep a biometric profile, and it does not download a model or send your photos to a server for this. You can adjust every result yourself.
Exporting and sharing
Saved designs go to Photos. When you use the share sheet, the destination you choose processes the file under its own privacy policy. When you choose to open a Story in Instagram, PhotoStudio places the exported image on the device-local clipboard for up to five minutes and opens Instagram’s composer; you decide whether to publish it. This handoff does not connect your Instagram account to PhotoStudio.
Subscriptions
PhotoStudio Pro is purchased through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive your payment card details or your Apple Account credentials. The app checks Apple’s signed transaction information on your device to unlock Pro features. If you allow usage analytics, subscription events such as opening the paywall or starting a purchase are included in the analytics described below. Apple’s handling of your purchase is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
Optional usage analytics
Usage analytics is off until you allow it. You can turn it on or off at any time under Subscription & privacy, the account screen in PhotoStudio. If you allow it, Firebase Analytics (Google) receives app interactions such as tool selection, canvas creation, export outcome and subscription events, plus device and app information, an app-instance identifier and approximate location inferred from network information. These help us understand which features work and where people run into problems. We do not send your photos, designs, captions, project names, filenames or raw error messages as analytics events. We disable Analytics ad-personalization signals and its IDFV collection. Turning analytics off stops new collection and clears on-device analytics data. To request deletion of previously collected analytics records, copy your analytics identifier in the same screen and contact us below.
Optional crash diagnostics
Starting with the next app update after 2.0.0, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) has a separate crash reports choice in Subscription & privacy. It is off until you explicitly allow it; an earlier usage analytics choice does not enable it. If enabled, it sends crash stack traces, device and app version information, a Crashlytics installation identifier and, when usage analytics is also enabled, recent analytics breadcrumbs so we can diagnose failures. We do not attach photos, designs, project contents or a personal user ID to crash reports. Turning the choice off disables automatic crash reporting for subsequent launches and requests deletion of unsent reports on the device; reports already sent are not removed by this choice. For a diagnostic data request, contact us with the app version and approximate time of the crash. Development and automated test builds do not report crashes unless a developer explicitly enables the integration test.
Optional rewarded ads
When rewarded ads are available and you choose to watch one to unlock a Studio layout, Google AdMob may process your IP address and approximate location, device identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information to deliver, measure and protect the ad service. PhotoStudio asks AdMob for non-personalized ads. Your editor photos and project files are not sent to AdMob by PhotoStudio. Where required, Google’s privacy message presents your choices before an ad request, and an Ad privacy choices control lets you revisit them. Before the ad SDK starts, iOS may also ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you allow it, our ad partner may use the device’s advertising identifier to measure and deliver ads across companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, the ad can still be requested without that identifier. Ads are not shown to Pro subscribers. Declining an ad or its privacy choices does not block the standard editor or export.
This website
photostudiocanvas.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views in aggregate without cookies or cross-site tracking. Fonts are hosted on this site, so pages do not load Google Fonts or other third-party font services. Cloudflare processes network information such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
Instagram account connection
Connecting an Instagram account is not available in this release. The Feed and Story previews in PhotoStudio are local simulations on your device and do not read from or post to your account. If you connected an account during an earlier internal test, the stored connection expires automatically after at most 60 days and is then deleted; to have it deleted sooner, email us below without sending passwords or access tokens. If account connection is offered in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Children
The editor does not require an account. Optional ads and analytics are not intended for children.
Changes
If PhotoStudio’s data practices change, this page and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the relevant version is released.
